Getting home after a workout hungry isn’t the best time to start making an elaborate dinner. You want something filling, you want decent protein, and you probably don’t want to spend an hour chopping vegetables. Paneer is an excellent choice for a vegetarian post-exercise meal because it cooks quickly and pairs well with rice or roti and any vegetable. Milky mist paneer is one easy option when you want to put together dinner without making things unnecessarily complicated.

Make Paneer And Peppers In One Pan
Use around 150 to 200 grams of paneer and cut it into small pieces. If the pieces are wet, then wipe them dry using a towel, allowing them to fry well.
Mix cumin powder, turmeric, black pepper, chilli powder, and salt (about half a teaspoon each) into the paneer pieces. In addition, add a little oil, about one teaspoon, to the mixture. Turn on a non-stick pan on medium heat and throw in the paneer pieces. Let them go undisturbed for a couple of minutes. Cook for around 5–6 minutes altogether, turning a few times, until you see golden-brown patches.
Take the paneer out and add sliced bell peppers and onion to the same pan. Cook for another 3–4 minutes. It is important that you cook the peppers sufficiently, but not to the point of making them too soft. The paneer must then be added to the pan, along with all the other ingredients, as you switch off the stove. Some roasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds may be used for garnishing.

Put Together A Proper Dal And Paneer Bowl
Some days, paneer and vegetables simply won’t feel like enough. If you’ve done a long workout, add rice and dal and make an actual dinner out of it.
Cook your dal as you normally would. There’s no need to make a special “fitness dal”. While it’s heating, pan-sear around 120–150g paneer with cumin, turmeric and a little chilli powder. Cook it until the edges have browned slightly.
Serve the curry with the rice as an accompaniment. Lay the paneer pieces on top and serve the finely cut cucumber and tomato separately. A bit of crushed roasted seeds would provide the texture. If you’re shopping groceries online, keep rice, lentils, paneer and a few vegetables at home because they can rescue dinner on days when you have very little energy left.

Make A Quick Paneer Roti Wrap
Take one or two rotis and warm them on a dry pan. Filling preparation takes around 120 gms of paneer which has to be chopped. It is then added along with capsicum and onion to roasted cumin seeds, red chillies, salt and black pepper. The filling preparation should be cooked for around 5 min on medium flame.
Then, just before the vegetables have softened and the paneer has turned golden, switch off the gas. After preparing the chapatti with yoghurt or mint sauce, place the stuffing on it and fry on both sides for 30-60 sec to make a delicious, crispy burrito.
Don’t Forget The Rest Of Dinner
Protein is important after exercise, but you don’t have to eat paneer by itself and call it a meal. Add rice, roti or another carbohydrate source, along with vegetables, so dinner actually fills you up. Keeping milky mist paneer in the fridge also gives you something you can cook quickly when you get home hungry.
If you’re shopping groceries online, add paneer, vegetables, lentils, yoghurt and other basics before they run out. Instamart is one option for ordering groceries, subject to product availability.
The most delicious post-workout meal is probably one that you don’t have to overthink to make. Get some protein on the plate, add the ingredients you enjoy, and eat a proper meal. You don’t need to turn dinner into a science experiment.
